WHO IS I/C CALS?
I/C CALS is the Railroad Industry’s first “Total Facility Maintenance Services Company.”
Established in 1988, I/C CALS was purchased by Gerald W. Washington in 1997.
ABOUT THE CEO/PRESIDENT, GERALD W. WASHINGTON:
Mr. Gerald W. Washington has been a dominant force in the United States Railroad Industry for more than 40 years. In 1989 Mr. Washington took over as yard manager and in 1992, he was honored as Santa Fe Railway Company’s “Spokesman of the Year.” His numerous accomplishments include managing an increase of industry revenue from $7,000,000 to $126,000,000.
In 1996, Mr. Washington’s management was also recognized by the Los Angeles Times for assisting “the growth of world trade through Southern California and to the economics of shipping containers by rail”.
In 1997, Mr. Washington purchased the I/C CALS Company and was later named the “Innovator/Entrepreneur Finalist 2003” by California State University, San Bernardino.
